about me

I am in the final few weeks of completing a BA(hons) Graphic Design degree at University College Falmouth. My work is predominately packaging and branding based and is the area of design that most excites me. I would love to leave sleepy Cornwall for the bright lights of London when I finish. I did a 4 week placement at Design Bridge which was followed by a 2 week placement at Enterprise IG (now Brand Union) after winning a place on their bursary placement scheme. Since then, I was invited to go back for another 2 week period which I recently completed. Last year, I won 3rd prize at the Futuretalent Awards for "fe" - a brand of lager aimed at women. Outside of design I love to spend time with my friends and family and play the guitar when I get the chance. I love all things disney and have a fascination with pigs. I am an avid Liverpool fan, addicted to cocktails, am obsessed with cookery programmes and I love the word button...oh and I'm pretty good at making funky cakes! I was born in Southampton although grew up in Leicestershire near a little town called Hinckley. I moved with my family to Wiltshire for a brief period before making my way down to Falmouth. My dad's a scouser and my mum's an Essex-girl! So you could say I'm a bit of a mixture. I have been a waitress, till clerk, shelf stacker, personal shopper and (proudest of all!) Little Chef in my many part-time jobs. But my heart lies in Graphics and I can't wait to see what the next few months bring. Watch this space!
